Maylim Collaborates With Local Primary School to Build Sensory Science Garden

Essendine School Sensory Garden

As part of the Maylim’s work at Paddington Central, the team reached out to The Paddington Partnership, which connects businesses with local charities and projects. They suggested the Essendine Primary School, which was looking to develop a sensory garden space for the school’s science department.

Originally a patch of wasteland, Maylim volunteers worked through the school holidays to transform the space. The school’s pupils were heavily involved, and the project helped unite the local community. All involved felt a real sense of achievement when the project reached completion.

The outcome is an oasis for the children to enjoy, and the garden will play a vital role in the children’s education.
