Maylim Win Iconic BBC Television Centre Redevelopment Project for Stanhope

Working alongside Mace for Stanhope, Maylim is looking forward to being part of this prestigious project. Furthering our involvement in the transformation and regeneration of White City.

The redevelopment of this iconic building has been highly anticipated since its closure in 2013. The BBC Television Centre building will now house commercial and residential property, and the external areas will be open to the public for the first time.

Maylim’s work is due to commence at the end of April. Working for principal contractor Lendlease, the team’s remit primarily involves the hard landscaping of the external space. The plans include the creation of large terraced areas, as well as the installation of street furniture and bespoke seating.

The new design preserves the Television Centre’s much-loved and well-known features. Spacious forecourts and landscaped spaces surround the building, including various pre-cast elements. Newly paved pathways and step terraces will lead to the refurbished Helios Plaza.
