Maylim Win Grand Award for One Tower Bridge at the BALI Awards 2017

We are very pleased to announce that our project, One Tower Bridge was named as the Grand Winner at this year’s BALI National Landscape Awards. We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our client Berkeley Homes and all of our trusted suppliers and sub-contractors. Below is our official press release:

Iconic London Berkeley Homes Development Wins Grand Award for Maylim at BALI Awards 2017

Maylim Limited were named Grand Award winners at the 41st BALI National Landscape Awards. One Tower Bridge, a development by Berkeley Homes, topped the shortlist at the prestigious annual landscaping awards.

It was announced on Friday 1st December 2017 that Maylim’s Project, One Tower Bridge was the Principle Winner in its category, Hard Landscaping Construction (Non-Domestic) over £1.5 million. At the end of the ceremony the project was also presented with the 2017 BALI Grand Award. The Grand Award is presented each year to the BALI member ‘whose scheme is deemed preeminent amongst the winning schemes by virtue of its complexity, project management, the exceptional quality of the workmanship, and its perfect realisation to achieve outstanding client satisfaction.’

Maylim are a hard landscaping and externals company based in London and have worked on many of London’s most highly regarded projects. Although they have been BALI registered for many years, One Tower Bridge is the first project that they have submitted to the awards. The project is located close by London’s iconic Tower Bridge, and was developed by our client Berkeley Homes and designed by Landscape Architects Murdoch Wickham. Along with our trusted network of suppliers and sub-contractors, the scheme was completed to an extremely high quality; above and beyond our client’s expectations.

BALI National Landscape Awards Judges’ Comments

“The attention to detail demonstrated across this high-pressure site is extremely impressive. The contractor had to wrestle with the challenging logistics presented by the mixed-use development’s extremely busy and high-profile location, adjacent to London’s iconic Tower Bridge, as well as flooding issues throughout construction. The paving along the development’s main thoroughfare involved complex patterns and despite being completed in sections the finish and symmetry is faultless and the precision breath-taking. The paved area around the large central “clock” water feature is equally perfect, and the workmanship across this extensive site, which includes an extension to Potters Field Park and associated works along adjacent roadways, is of the very highest quality. One Tower Bridge is a magnificent advertisement for British landscaping and Maylim is a worthy recipient of the 2017 BALI Grand Award.”

Thomas O’Mahony, Managing Director at Maylim Limited

“We were so honoured when One Tower Bridge was announced as the Principle Award winner for the its category but then, to be presented with the Grand Award… that was a real monumental moment for Maylim. We are all very proud.

Together, we are a solid team who are passionate about what we do and work extremely hard to produce the finest quality projects for our clients and the communities surrounding our projects. One Tower Bridge was no exception and we are extremely proud that our work has been recognised by winning this prestigious award, one of the highest accolades in the industry. We are very grateful to have a fantastic ongoing relationship with our client Berkeley homes as well as with our suppliers and sub-contractors who help us to consistently deliver our projects to such a high standard.

Winning this award is a true testament to our hard work over the years. It will drive us to push ourselves further; creating the best and most innovative hard landscaping projects in London.”
