Maylim Limited started the £695,000 (increased value) project for the Regeneration of Douglas Way, Deptford. The Project, Maylim Ltd as Main Contractor, started on site on the 17th January 2011 with a proposed completion of the 15th April. The project has seen weeks of close co-ordination with the market traders and the design team, involving all parties on the proposed sequencing of the works and an open day with presentations successfully took place at the Albany during w/c 10/1/11.
The project is Maylim Ltd’s first project for the London Borough of Lewisham, with BDP as the main Landscape Architect for the project. The works will involve the complete reconstruction of the area of Douglas Way, incorporating the market area of Deptford, and reconstruction the area with a mixed beige/Pink/Silver Grey granite finish and associated lighting, soft landscaping and seating areas and all the associated street furniture, shrub areas and tree planting that surround the Albany Centre. The works will involve close logistics and co-ordinating of the local live market traders.
