Maylim Limited through its relationship with Rob Benion, Chairman of the Construction Youth Trust and Non Executive Chairman of McNicholas Construction, supported the Budding Builders Project at within our local Borough of Islington by providing materials and management support to the 3 week project for a group of 16-24 year olds.

Budding Builders – The project aims to give a group of Islington Borough between the ages of 16 – 24 construction training over a 3 week period. The training will provide a successful transition into further training and construction industry work placements. The Trust recently signed a three-year framework agreement with Islington Council to provide construction training to the Borough’s youths.
The intensive 3-week training schemes are aimed at Islington Borough residents between the ages of 16 – 24 and provide a successful transition into further training and construction industry work placements.
On completion of the training there will also be opportunities for participants to undertake work placements with major companies, giving them a real insight into working life in the sector, as well as the chance to make links with employers that could lead to sponsorship and full time employment.
