Maylim team meet Prince Charles and Camilla at Tsunami Opening

Maylim Limited’s Tsunami team met members of the Royal Family at the opening of the Tsunami Memorial at The National History Museum.
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall paid tribute to the people who died in the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami at the opening of a memorial in London’s Natural History Museum.

Charles laid a wreath at the opening of a memorial for the 155 British people who died in the disaster. The names of the British victims are engraved on the floor beneath a 115 tonne granite monolith that stands in the grounds of the museum.

Maylim, as main contractor, are delighted to complete this prestige project on time in memory of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami. Our clients, (Tsunami Support UK (TSUK)) CEO Mike Holland paid tribute to the outstanding work carried out and dedication by Maylim Ltd in managing the procurement and installation of this 115t granite monolith. The single granite monolith sited in the Darwin Centre garden at the Natural History Museum was completed during the July through months of precise planning to enable this Granite block to be lifted into place. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the TSUK along with its design team made up of M3 Consulting, Carmody Groake and Miller Druck.
