Brentford Town Centre has been the subject of a major regeneration in recent years and we were delighted to be awarded a project within the scheme.
Overview
Focused around the busy market square with many popular shops and restaurants, the project demanded close co-ordination with the traders of these businesses in order to achieve minimal disruption. Running over a 16 week period, local roads were closed and it was our task to run the project around the full construction and subsequent finishings of the externals.
Large areas of the landscape were paved using old and new Yorkstone laid in random widths and lengths to create a unique design. In the market square area, curved timber structures designed especially for this project were aligned with the paving in a buff resin finish. The main seating area was designed around a bespoke water feature which co-ordinates with high quality street furniture, drop down bollards, pop up electrics, bespoke bins, cycle stands and individual seats. Associated lighting scheme was also integrated into the square to add character and to maintain the aesthetics and practicality of the area at night.
