Named after the prolific British Scientist, The Francis Crick Institute is a world-leading centre for biomedical research and innovation. The London-based institute unites the research capacities and expertise of diverse organisations.
Overview
Our remit was to create the public realm areas adjacent to site boundaries and several iconic buildings such as The British library and St Pancras station. On-site for 32 weeks over the course of 2 years, our role involved numerous site visits, diverse phases and close working relationships with heads of logistics at various trade contractors.
The public landscape area included the construction of over 4000sqm of Yorkstone paving, associated build-ups, drainage, cladding, soft landscaping and infrastructure requirements on the ground floor that now includes a large public square facing St Pancras.
