Montgomery Square

was contracted to complete external works updates to Montgomery Square by client Canary Wharf Contractors Limited (CWCL).

Our scope of works focused on creating a new junction layout in order to provide better access to the shopping centre and surrounding office buildings. Our team increased footway widths, introduced new kerb lines and built new traffic islands to create a safer environment for pedestrians. The footways were also raised in height using a concrete up-stand. We installed new cladding, coping stones and additional steps to complete.

Other installation works included utilities (power and surface water), traffic signals at the junction, security barriers and lamp columns.

The project team had to ensure that the road remained open and fully functional in order for deliveries to be made to the retail outlets without disruption. Due to the close proximity to both the shopping centre and the Jubilee Line, the footways also had to remain clear and functional to ensure pedestrian access was not affected.

Montgomery Square was completed in early 2020, and we were delighted to return to Canary Wharf to work on the first phase of the new residential-led district, Wood Wharf.
