Paddington Central – Phase 2

Paddington Central Phase Two is a BALI Award winning project for Hard Landscaping (Non-Domestic) over £1.5 million

Overview

After successfully completing Phase 1, Maylim were awarded phase 2 of the Paddington Central project ready for the Crossrail. Working as the Principal Contractor for British Land we began our second phase of Paddington by taking over three areas; the south section of Kingdom Street, the library and games room area and lastly, Kingdom Square. The concentration for this project is not only utilising the space to its full potential using high quality materials but also a focus on the local community and as well as charity work.

Considerate Constructors were on board for the initial set-up of the site which helped everything to run as smoothly as possible. Much on-going coordination has been required in order to work alongside a live hotel and to maintain a safe environment in the middle of a busy public realm.

We are proud to say that we have implemented a plot where the charity PIP (Pursuing Independent Paths) are growing a range of fruit and vegetables to create fresh produce to sell in the local area. This one of the many projects that the charity support in order to empower and encourage adults with learning disabilities. As well as this Maylim also took part in the annual dragon boat race at Paddington Basin to raise money for the More Smiles Appeal. As you can imagine, much fun was had by all for a great cause.
