  • This Hard & Soft Landscaping project to One Kingdom Street, sited at this prestigious development known as Paddington central was completed on behalf of Skanska Infrastructure Services working for their sister company Skanska Construction UK, who were contracted to complete this commercial development for British Land.
  • This aesthetically pleasing public space included over 6000sqm of Yorkstone paving, fantastic Swiss granite clad planters and water features, all completed with chic street furniture and lighting scheme complementing the main foyer entrance to this office building.
  • Maylim Ltd completed all the civils and groundworks to this public space working with Miller Druck in co-ordinating the laying of the paving in line with the installation of the slot drainage system to both the facade of the building and directly to the paved road and carriageway areas.

  • As expected from a development of this type logistics were very challenging as we had to not only co-ordinate with the building cladding system and fit out trades but as the whole public space was on a suspended podium, all material movements to/from the workface had to be carried out by crane lifts from the storage area 11m below in the now plot 2 site area.
  • Movement of materials had to be closely co-ordinated with other trades including the waterproofing contractor who was integrated within the external works package programme in release and completion of areas.
  • Maylims package was extended to carry out civils and infrastructure works to the soft garden areas to the West of the estate and to the existing estate works on behalf of the client.
  • From the successful completion of One Kingdom Street, Skanska UK went on to successfully negotiate Two Kingdom Street which has seen Maylim Ltd working  again as the external works contractor alongside Miller Druck.
