  • The works consisted of landscaping works required to upgrade the existing Royal Festival Hall / Riverlink Squares and was part of the full refurbishment programme of this prestigious London venue.
  • Maylim Ltd as part of the Lendlease/McNicholas Plc and Miller Druck’s paving teams, the works included for the full installation of new Chinese granite and limestone paving to main piazza areas to the square in front of the canteen restaurant and the backhouse areas of the hall.

  • Maylim Ltd’s work involved a full site clearance of the existing paved areas and construction of the sub strata areas to the underside. The construction included placement of a new reinforced concrete slab integrating the Elkington Gatic drainage system that was installed once the paving laying was adjacent to the slot drain to ensure that the slot opening aligned with the 3mm paving joints.
  • Integrated within the paving lines was a bespoke LED system by NJO, designed by Speirs and Major, which acted as a graphic equalizer arrangement that flashed in time with the music of the orchestra inside the hall.
  • Maylim Ltd’s work extended to the highway alterations, civils for the lighting system, street furniture and the soft landscaping elements of the square, including the art sculptures that were placed by the local art group.
