One Tower Bridge

One Tower Bridge won Maylim the coveted Grand Award at the 2017 BALI National Landscape Awards.

Overview

One Tower Bridge is a mixed-use development by Berkeley Homes. A total of nine blocks make up the development, containing 396 residential units, commercial and cultural spaces, a single storey basement area and a 20 storey residential tower block with roof top area and ‘lantern’ structure at the top. Diverse communal and private amenity spaces are spread around the site, this included an extension to Potters Field Park and associated Section 278 highway works and landscaping along Tooley Street and Tower Bridge Road.

Our input was extensive and included the construction of all external works such as the builder’s works for lighting, irrigation and drainage, concrete works and build ups, as well as the installation of the attenuation system. We also created concrete support walls for all cladded planters, water features, a living wall and paved areas. However, the star of this high spec project is the bespoke clock water feature installed within the beautifully landscaped boulevard.

In December 2017, Maylim were named as winners of the Grand Award at the BALI National Landscape Awards for One Tower Bridge. The project also won the Principal Award for its category: Hard Landscaping Construction Over £1.5 Million.
