Digger Day at Crystal Palace Park
On the 13th of December we hosted ‘Digger Day’ on our Project at Crystal Palace Park.
Digger Day at Crystal Palace Park brought together families, future engineers and our project team for a morning of discovery and inspiration. We’re proud to be regenerating this much‑loved park, creating new spaces, including a dinosaur‑themed playground and improving facilities for the whole community. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our partners @lbbromley@crystalpalaceparktrust and @heritagefunduk for making this event possible.
“We don’t just leave behind expectational external places for communities and families to enjoy when we finish, we try and make a positive impact within the community whilst we are there.
Usually, park users only see our machines at a distance through fencing, but on Digger Day we gave everyone the opportunity to change their perspective of our machines, from inside the cab! All machines isolated of course 😅
Lead by our Project Manager, Ben Corkhill with fantastic help from our Site Supervisors, Nikos Gkiokas, Sazan Hilaj (his son Alex) and our Fleet Drive Archie Nikitinas, the event was very well received, the feedback has been amazing.
A massive shout out to Katie Weston from the Crystal Palace Park Trust who helped organise and facilitate the event.
Events like this support enhancing our industries image and showcases some of our exceptional people and what they do. Hopefully we have inspired the next generation of Excavator Operators!” Martin Cunningham, Head of SHEQ
