Maylim Awarded Battersea Power Station Phase Two

Following on from the successful completion of Phase One of this iconic scheme, Maylim has been awarded the external works contract for Battersea Power Station Phase Two. Maylim is contracted directly by Battersea Power Station Development Company; in conjunction with construction managers Mace.

Working across a vast 23,000m² area, the project team will complete the groundworks and hard and soft landscape package. Maylim’s remit also includes all works at ground level, and the perimeters surrounding the historic power station. Extensive areas of granite paving will create new public squares, footpaths and access routes to the building.

The Maylim team will be conducting works to the Thames river wall, including new copings and balustrades to expand the riverfront walkway. The scope of works also includes drainage, ducting, lighting schemes and architectural metalwork.

In addition to this, Maylim will be completing the soft landscaping package. This will incorporate beautiful mature trees, large lawned spaces and perennial planting. Site set up has begun, with works due to commence in December 2019.
