Meet the Team: Introducing Marciel, Head Gardener

Although many of our team already know him, we’re delighted to officially welcome Marciel as a full-time member of the Maylim Landscapes family in his new role as Head Gardener.

Having successfully supported Maylim Landscapes as a contractor for some time, Marciel now joins us permanently, bringing a wealth of horticultural knowledge, hands-on experience and a genuine passion for creating and maintaining exceptional landscapes.

I recently caught up with Marciel onsite at Nine Elms, our largest maintenance contract, to learn more about his background and what he’s looking forward to in his new role.

“I started my horticultural career with The Royal Parks, working at Richmond Park and Bushy Park, where I gained valuable hands-on experience and completed my horticultural apprenticeship while studying at Capel Manor College.

Since then, I’ve continued to develop my experience in garden maintenance, seasonal planting, lawn care, pruning, and maintaining high standards across a variety of landscapes. More recently, I’ve also developed my skills in team supervision, planning and organising workloads, and promoting sustainable gardening practices.

I’m passionate about horticulture and take pride in the quality of my work and the standards I deliver. I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to Maylim, taking on this new role, and contributing to the team.”

As Head Gardener, Marciel will play a key role in ensuring best practice horticulture as it adapts to changes in climate and weather, to lead on promoting biodiversity and social engagement across our sites whilst supporting the continued development of our maintenance teams across London and the South East to uphold the high standards that our clients expect from us.

We’re thrilled to have him officially on board and look forward to seeing him grow and succeed as part of the Maylim team.

Welcome to the team, Marciel!
