Mental Health World Cup 2021 Raises £17,000 for charity
Maylim recently took part in the The Mental Health World Cup at QPR’s Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. A grand total of £17,000 has been raised for mental health charity CALM and QPR in the Community Trust.
Due to COVID, the tournament was held at a reduced capacity; with colleagues across the construction industry uniting to battle it out for the World Cup trophy!
The Mental Health World Cup is a charity event raising funds and awareness in the fight against male suicide. The charity has a strong alliance with the construction industry. This is reflective of the size of the problem in our industry, where men are three times more likely to take their own lives than other men in the UK. Football and other sporting activities are a great way to raise awareness and reach out to those who might be struggling with their mental health.
