Alistair Bayford Appointed as Business Development Director

Alistair Bayford - Maylim Business Development Director

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Business Development Director, Alistair Bayford. This new role is the latest phase of the company’s Strategic Growth Plan. He will be central to the promotion, selling and development of the business in existing and new markets.

Alistair, a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute, joins the Senior Management Team with a diverse breadth of experience and knowledge in the design, creation and management of public realm, parks and landscape in both the private and public sector. Alistair was previously responsible for the mobilisation of the Estates and Facilities Management Contract at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. He played a significant role in the establishment and growth of the London and South East Creation offering at idverde. He helped to secure 16 BALI Awards and delivered two gold medal winning gardens at RHS Chelsea Flower Show in his time as Operations Director.

Alistair had previous roles at Liz Lake Associates and Lee Valley Regional Park Authority. He was a founding director of The Parks Alliance and Our Parklife CIC, and has been a judge for Green Flag, Landscape Institute and ProLandscaper Awards.

Commenting on his new venture, Alistair said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Maylim team at as Business Development Director. It’s a great time to be joining Maylim at such an exciting period for both the business and our industry. Throughout my career I have always been passionate about working with clients and stakeholders to deliver high quality landscape led projects for the benefit of people and nature whilst developing strong relationships.”
