Biodiversity Enhancement at Nine Elms Park

As part of our ongoing landscape management at Nine Elms Park, Marciel and the Maylim Landscapes team have introduced a thoughtful biodiversity initiative that has recently been highlighted in the estate’s newsletter.

When several trees on site naturally failed, the team identified an opportunity to repurpose the remaining deadwood to support the local ecosystem. Instead of removing the material, it has been arranged to create habitat for invertebrates, providing shelter, food sources and micro‑habitats that encourage a wider range of species.

The Nine Elms Park Estate Newsletter praised the approach, noting that the deadwood now contributes to the estate’s biodiversity and, as it decomposes, returns nutrients to the soil to further enhance environmental performance.

This initiative reflects our commitment to sustainable landscape management and demonstrates how small, considered actions can deliver meaningful ecological value for our clients and their communities.
