Maylim is now a Landscape Institute Registered Practice
Maylim is now a Landscape Institute Registered Practice following the success of our recent application. Registered Practices are at the heart of the landscape profession. They are vital in raising the profile of the profession, communicating its importance, and advancing the art and science of landscape practice.
Alistair Bayford, Business Development Director and Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute, commented; ‘Becoming a Registered Practice is a key step in developing Maylim as we continue to service place-making projects. We feel that joining the profession better reflects the services we offer. It also recognises and represents our Chartered Members, as well as providing a framework to progress colleagues to individual membership. Furthermore, it will create opportunities to collaborate with the profession and its membership to share best practice.’
Thomas O’Mahony, Managing Director, added; ‘Over the years Maylim has built very strong relationships with many Registered Practices. Working in partnership we have delivered numerous high-quality and award-winning public realm projects. The industry is constantly evolving and today we are seeing more design responsibility transferred to the contractor during the procurement process. This might be via the mechanisms of a Pre-Construction Services Agreement, Early Contractor Involvement, or simply taking the project from RIBA stage 2 or 3. This is a great step for Maylim and our colleagues, particularly those with Chartered status. It is recognition of our technical and professional competence.
