Regent’s Place Public Realm is Complete

Regent's Place Public Realm Pavilions

The transformation of the new Regent’s Place public realm is now complete and open to the public. Working as Principal Contractor for British Land, Maylim delivered the landscaping scheme bringing Townshend Landscape Architects‘ design to life.

Regent’s Place has not only increased in size, but the new public realm has improved accessibility, with walkways connecting different areas of the development, making it easier for people to navigate the space. New seating areas and three breathtaking timber pavilions were installed at Osnaburg Place, creating new places to meet and socialise. Crafted by Xylotek, the pavilions light up by night, enabling the spaces to transition from day to night.

A key focus of the scheme was to add substantial greenery to the previously hard-landscaped public realm. A diverse soft landscaping scheme fills the planters along the meandering walkways. The cherry on top is one of London’s largest living walls. Encouraging biodiversity, the wall contains a variety of over 22,000 plants and provides a home to various wildlife in the heart of London.
