Landscape Institute Hosts Maylim Walking Tour

Maylim is collaborating with Landscape Institute to present an opportunity to gain first-hand insights into landscape construction in London. The walking tour delves into the challenges, solutions, and factors contributing to the successful delivery of three new public spaces.

Beginning at Devonshire Square, a historically significant site transformed into a vibrant public haven across from Cutlers Court. Designed by Townshend Landscape Architects, witness this space’s evolution with raised planters, seating, and an evergreen planting scheme.

Moving on to Bishops Square, designed to connect the City and East End seamlessly. Foster + Partners’ visionary approach to the new public realm includes new seating areas and improved accessibility. Additionally, a bespoke lighting concept has been introduced, carrying the space from day to night.

The walking tour ends at BALI Grand Award-Winning Exchange Square, now a lush city park. DSDHA’s design for the 1.5-acre landscape showcases a unique utilisation of materials. This has led to the creation of one of London’s most distinctive public realms and a four-fold increase in green space.
