One Bishopsgate Plaza

Located in the heart of the City of London, One Bishopsgate Plaza is a new mixed-use 43-storey tower with private residences, a hotel and a ground-floor plaza.

Overview

Working for client UOL Group, under a trade contract with Lendlease, Maylim was contracted to complete the 1,000m2 external works package at ground level creating a new plaza overlooking Bishopsgate and Houndsditch.

One Bishopsgate Plaza continues Maylim’s long relationship with the City of London in the Bishopsgate area. Maylim has previously delivered schemes at 100 Bishopsgate, 22 Bishopsgate and St Helen’s Square.

Maylim’s remit included the installation of an insulation board, filter sheets and void former before casting a reinforced concrete slab laid with Scoutmoor Yorkstone paving and granite. The scheme also featured complex drainage, with over 400m of visible and hidden slot drains and over 100 recessed service covers and draw pits.

The HVM strategy consisted of several bespoke PAS:68 benches, planters and fixed bollards to the Broadgate and Houndsditch thresholds. The scheme was completed with three Acer Platanoides ‘Emerald Queen’ planted along Bishopsgate.
