Works Well Underway at The Turing Building, Stratford Cross

Stratford Cross - Turing Building CGI

Works are well underway for the Maylim Team at the Turing Building as part of the Stratford Cross Development (formerly known as IQL). The building, designed by AFK Studios, will provide 350,000 sqft of office space spanning 21 floors. It will also house an Everyman Cinema, retail units, event space and a landscaped public realm at ground level.

Working for client Lendlease, Maylim is completing the external works package for the scheme. Designed by Gustafson Porter + Bowman, the landscape works include irrigation, paving, planting and lighting. The retail unit will be enclosed with planters, strategically designed and placed to mitigate wind levels within
the vicinity. Simultaneously, Maylim is finalising the public realm works for Building S9 at Stratford Cross, creating a seamless connection between the two projects.

As part of an innovative approach, the raised planters incorporate drainage weep holes. This system efficiently directs surface water into the planters, eliminating the need for conventional drainage channels around the building.

The project is due to complete in May 2024.
