New Landscape at Battersea Power Station Phase 3B Opens to the Public
The ground and lower-ground floors at Battersea Power Station Phase 3B are now open to the public. The new public realm serves as the main entrance to the iconic Battersea Power Station, located on Electric Boulevard.
As the landscape contractor, Maylim’s scope of work encompassed a comprehensive range of design, supply, and installation services, including hard and soft landscaping.
Maylim’s project team undertook clearance, demolition, earthworks and drainage. The paving scheme for 3b was designed and installed with exemplary attention to detail, resulting in a seamless finish. Completing the hard landscaping scope, street furniture included cycle stands, benches and bins. A bespoke lighting scheme adds both functionality and aesthetic appeal to the space.
In addition to the hard landscaping elements, Maylim undertook the soft landscaping. This included tree planting and irrigation systems to ensure the new greenery thrives.
Whilst the ground and lower ground level areas have been unveiled, the project’s roof terraces are set to open upon the handover of the buildings later this year. Redefining urban living, these elevated outdoor spaces will provide breathtaking views across London.
